World Wildlife Day is an occasion to raise awareness for the numerous beautiful and diverse forms of wild flora and fauna among people. We started celebrating 3rd of March as World Wildlife Day after the declaration by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which was the 68th session and held on 20th December 2013. The theme of 2020 is “Sustaining all life on earth”. The year 2020 is also known as “biodiversity super year,”

The UN also selected CITES (CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) as the global observer for this day under the UN calendar.

Earth is the place of numerous life forms and some of them still undiscovered and unsearched. Every creature on earth is living with each other and directly or indirectly dependent on each other. We are dependent on other animals for food, we are dependent on the atmosphere for the air we breathe and the energy we use. Nearly one-quarter of species are going to be extinct in the coming decades and they will be going to hamper the ecosystem and extinction of other species as well and putting our lives in danger.

In the present time, there is a quick need to take a step from all the people, government agencies and organizations, and private sectors for the conservation of wildlife and their sustainability. The conservation and sustainable program by UN comes under the “Sustainable Goal 15
